Darrell Byron Stout, age 80, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at Brown County Health and Living on Friday, July 1, 2022. He was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee on November 18, 1941 to Fred and Rosa Stout. Darrell served our country as a Marine from 1959 to 1963. He was also a Virginia State Trooper. Darrell graduated from Johnson Bible College Knoxville, Tennessee, and was a pastor for over 50 years with churches in Tennessee and Indiana. In 1979, Darrell and his family moved from Kokomo, Indiana to Nashville, Indiana to pastor churches until his retirement. He loved his family, reading, old movies, traveling, old cars, and studying the Bible.
Darrell is survived by his wife of 57 years, Brenda (Garrison) Stout of Bloomington, Indiana, children, Tim Stout (Jill), Janet Chalfin (Brian), David Stout, and Stephanie Logan (Peter), grandchildren, Ethan, Alexander, and Jacob Stout, Brady (Ashley) and Tanner Chalfin, Kelsie and Zachary Stout, and Chase, Braylon, and Miles Logan, mother, Rosa Stout, sister, Charlotte Caudill and Shelby Mottern (Sonnie Bill), and brothers, Ron and Dayton Stout.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Fred Stout, and brother, McKinley Stout.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, with burial to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
