Darrell J. LaBeau, 56, passed away April 17, 2024, at his home near East Jordan.
He was born on August 13, 1967, in Charlevoix, the son of James H. and Nancy E. (Bennett) LaBeau.
He grew up in East Jordan and graduated from East Jordan High School in 1985.
He worked 17 years for the East Jordan Iron Works, now know as EJ, USA. After leaving EJ, he worked in the lawn care business, maintaining cemeteries for Banks Township, and working at John's Complete, Cottage Care in East Jordan for the last six years.
Darrell enjoyed all sports he especially enjoyed following the University of Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions. He played baseball and softball in his younger years, starting in little league when he was seven years old through four years of high school, and then the East Jordan Men's Softball League, playing on several area teams over the next 25 years. He was also a competitive bowler. Bowling on several local teams and competing in area tournaments for many years.
He is survived by his parents, James H. And Nancy E. LaBeau of East Jordan; his brother, Mark A. (Heather) LaBeau of Englewood, niece, Allison LaBeau of Englewood, Florida; nephews, Nolan LaBeau of Englewood, Florida; nephews, Brayson LaBeau and Preston LaBeau, and their mother, Tina Clark, all of Grayling; as well as several aunts, uncle and cousins. Darrell was preceded in death by one brother, Kurt LaBeau and all of his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church, 7874 Rogers Road, East Jordan, MI.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church.
