Mr. Danny Ray Etheredge

Mr. Danny Ray Etheredge, 70, of Doerun, died on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Norton, Rev. Jerry Etheredge and Rev. David Williams will officiate.

Mr. Etheredge was born on January 27, 1952 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Eugene McCoy and Geneva Lou Catherine Self Etheredge. He had lived in Worth County most of his life and was a veteran, having served in the United States Army Reserve. Mr. Etheredge farmed for many years before becoming a parts manager at Demott Tractor Company where he later retired. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and riding his golf-cart. Mr. Etheredge loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his grandchildren. Those who knew him as "paw-paw", knew that he was a devoted and loving husband, who always worked hard to provide for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Etheredge of Doerun; children, Dana Etheredge Lewis (Mike) of Tifton, Tal Etheredge and Katie Etheredge Hill all of Doerun; grandchildren, Britney Welch, Ridge Welch Tyler Lewis, Sally Lewis, Coy Etheredge, Kade Hill, Kason Hill and Everlee Anne Hill; sister, Vicki Etheredge Bass (John) of Hartsfield, Georgia; aunt, Lavonia Self and a uncle, Glenn Etheredge (Mary); A host of extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Liberty Hill Baptist Church.
