A Graveside funeral service for Danny Elton Byars, 68, of Windsor, SC will be held eleven o'clock a.m., Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Windsor First Baptist Church Cemetery. Danny passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022.
Born in Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late Algier Smith Byars, Sr. and Ruth Dicks Byars Scott. He retired from E. I. DuPont having worked in heavy equipment where he received numerous awards for his Outstanding Performance. He also worked at Avondale Mills and Bradley Plumbing. Danny loved Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons football. He was a fan of Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics. He enjoyed riding on the river and loved fishing.
Survivors include his daughter Ann Durst and son William Byars both of Aiken; brothers Wallis (Gwendolyn) Byars of Oakwood, Kenneth (Terri) Hamby of Simpsonville, and Robert Hamby of Montmorenci; uncle Jimmie M. Byars; eight grandchildren Christopher (Chelsea) Durst, II, Cody (Tiara) Durst, Logan Durst, Dixie Daughtery, Kayla Durst, Hana (Travis) Scott, Amaya (Charles Trey) Weaver and William Tanner Marshall; eight great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Algier Smith Byars, Jr.
