After a remarkable 14-month fight against stage 4 pancreatic cancer, our beloved Danise Marie Reichlin-Robinson is now spreading her joy and sunshine in heaven.
She was born in Mount Vernon, WA on October 27, 1966 to Dan and Marie Donat. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1985, attended Skagit Valley College, and continued to be part of the Skagit Valley community.
Danise was a feisty, fun-loving wife and soul mate to Jeffrey Robinson for 17 years. She brought so much joy into the life of all who knew her and were blessed to be in her presence. Danise loved her family and friends deeply. She enjoyed hosting family get-togethers and cooking for an army. She was an instigator of fun and mischief. She was sunshine in a bottle and loved snow and water skiing, walking on the beach and the ocean air on her face. Her zest for life lingers on in all of us whose lives she touched.
Her deepest pride and joy was her daughter Whitney Rose Marie and the life they built together; full of cross-country adventures, baking days and belly laughs. Everyone knew how much Danise desired to be a grandma. She met her grandson James Daniel when was 8 days old, just days before she passed. She fought hard to make it to that day and when she saw him, her eyes lit up and a huge smile spread across her face; she was now a Grammy!
After working in multiple local floral shops, her dream of owning her own business was realized with the opening of The Rose Briar. Using her exceptional God-given floral design talent, she brought joy, comfort and love to those around her for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Robinson, daughter Whitney (Chase) Stuart, grandson James Daniel Stuart, parents Dan and Marie Donat, sisters Debra (Ken) Cheney and Dena (Jack) Poling, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Daniel Reichlin on May 7, 1999.
Her wish would be that if you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you would reach out to someone that can help guide you in finding the same peace she had. We were not meant to travel this life alone. He was her strength and hope during her 14-month battle. She continued to be in awe by the hand of God showing miracles all along the way.
Danise was a warrior that continued to fight every day with all her strength. You can help carry this torch to find a cure against pancreatic cancer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to https://gofundme/a9e49d41 to help with medical expenses, or to ongoing research at pancan.org.
A Celebration of the Life of Danise will be on Friday, May 12th from 1-3 in Anacortes at the Seafarers Memorial Park Building.
