Columbia, SC - Danielle Rea, 75 years old, beloved wife of Ted Deary, passed away in her sleep January 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Danielle was born and raised in the south of France. She came to visit a favorite uncle John Borrini of Camden, SC at the age of 18 where she learned to drive, honed her English, and decided to stay. Danielle graduated from Palmer Business College in Columbia and worked in mortgage banking, then went on to have a long and successful career in real estate, owning her company FDR and Associates. She had a zest for life and loved sharing good food and wine with friends and family here and in France.
She was preceded in death by her cousin, Betty Borrini Williams of Camden, SC.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Deary, and Betty's husband, Lonnie Williams of Camden, SC, cousin, Johnnie Borrini (June) of Orangeburg, SC, and many nieces, nephews, and their children. On the other side of the Atlantic, she is survived by her sister, Jacquie Ghigo, nephew, Remy Ghigo, France, sister Ginette Bovis, nephew Gabriel Bovis, France, cousins, Cristiane Filippi, Helene Filippi, and Gilles Filippi, France, Patricia Bovis, Dubai, and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband would like to thank nurse Kaye and Heart of Hospice for their dedicated and compassionate care of Danielle during her time of need.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Danielle at Seibels House and Gardens, Columbia on March 26 at 6:00 p.m. All vaccinated friends and family are invited, please RSVP to [email protected]
