Daniel Brian Padgett, 61
Okeechobee – Daniel Brian Padgett passed away June 6, 2022. Brian was born April 27, 1961 to George Franklin and Linda Joyce (Lowe) Padgett in Okeechobee, Florida.
Brian graduated from Okeechobee High School in 1980. He went on to work at Syfrett Feed and then the City of Okeechobee Public Works.
In 1982, he married Glenda Lyons of Okeechobee. Brian and Glenda went on to have three children, Daniel Brian Padgett, Jr., Jeremy Franklin Padgett, and Rebecca Lynn Padgett.
Over the years, Brian’s favorite activities and hobbies included cars, hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors. He was an avid fan of Westerns, old movies, and The Three Stooges – often quoting his favorite lines verbatim. Brian was often described as sweet, thoughtful, and kind. He would do anything to help someone in need and his family was extremely important to him.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, George Franklin Padgett.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Joyce Padgett; brothers, Roy Vincent Padgett (Donna), Charles Edward Padgett (Sandra); sister, Cynthia Kay Padgett Kubit (Ryan); sons, Daniel Brian Padgett and Jeremy Franklin Padgett (Lana); daughter, Rebecca Lynn Padgett (James); grandsons, Franklin Levi Cervantes, Allen Lane Peterson, Cody James LaDuke, Mason William LaDuke, and Cooper Liam LaDuke; niece, MaKayla Lauren Davis; nephews, Joel Michael Davis, Caleb Charles Padgett, and Gabriel Wesley Padgett, and Eric Michael Collins.
Brian was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Drum Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist with the costs.
