Cape Coral - Daniel Lee Moske, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at The Windsor of Cape Coral.
Daniel "Dan" Moske was born September 26, 1933, in Junction City, Kansas to John and Mary Moske.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phyllis Edwards; wife, Glenda Moske; former wife, Harriet (Marts) Moske; and stepson, James Carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Margaret Moske; son, Mark Moske; daughter, Sherry Jackson; stepdaughter, Kimberly Robinson; stepson, Mike Robinson; stepdaughter, Gerri Robinson; stepdaughter, Terri Bieler; stepdaughter, Kim Rigby; grandson, Jason Moske; granddaughter, Brandy Vargas; grandson, Tyler Jackson; granddaughter, Kelsey Jackson; grandson, Ryan Robinson; grandson, Owen Bieler; grandson, Evan Bieler; grandson, Noah Bieler; grandson, Ryly Bieler; grandson, Ray Rigby IV; grandson Zachary Rigby; grandson Dakota Rigby; great granddaughter, Delanie Moske; great grandson, Jack Vargas; great grandson, Cole Vargas; great grandson, Braxten Jackson; great granddaughter, Navy Joe Jackson; great granddaughter, Areaya Rigby; great grandson, Ray Rigby V; great granddaughter, Charlotte Rigby; great grandson, Carson Rigby; great granddaughter, Aiva Rigby; great granddaughter, Adison Rigby, and great grandson, Apollo Rigby.
Dan was a 1953 graduate of Junction City High School, Junction City, Kansas. He was in the Air Force for eight years and was given an honorable discharge. Dan was a self-made entrepreneur and the owner of many local businesses in Junction City, Kansas: he was the owner of Moske's Appliance Store, was a top Maytag appliance dealer, and was the owner of Riverbend Estates for 21 years. Dan's love of anything associated with water began early in his life. He was a co-founder of The Milford Lake Water Sports Club. Dan's blended and extended family and friends were the center of his life; his spirit for fun and adventure unmatched. Dan's passion for boating led him all over Florida, the Keys, the Bahamas, and the Panama Canal. Dan loved doing any activity that involved the water and was an avid diver and fisherman. Dan loved going out to eat and would continually remind his family, he loved "Hooters for the wings!" Dan was known for his devotion and love for everyone he met.
To honor Dan's wishes, a small celebration of his life was held July 9, 2021. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Hospice of Cape Coral/Ft. Myers or the Alzheimer's Association.
