Daniel Wayne Goble, 85, a 38-year resident of Boulder City, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 18, 1935, to Daniel and Margaret Goble, in Minco, OK. Wayne spent his early years working on family farms in Oklahoma before he and his family moved to California as part of the Dust Bowl migration. He graduated from Mira Costa High in Redondo Beach in 1954, and on August 6, 1955, married his sweetheart, Helen. He was drafted in 1958 and served in the Army, afterward working for Stater Bros. Markets, Langendorf, and Wonder Bread. In 1964, he and Helen welcomed daughter Lisa to their family. Starting in 1973, Wayne and Helen owned and operated a series of mom-and-pop grocery stores, first in Upland and San Dimas, CA, and finally in Boulder City, where he and Helen ran Central Market for 38 years. Wayne was a devoted husband to Helen for 65 years. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend. A hard worker, he was also a man of quality who helped many people during his lifetime. He will be deeply missed. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sister, and is survived by his beloved wife, Helen, daughter Lisa, granddaughters Sara (Luis), and Katy, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
