Former Laramie resident, Daniel J. "Danny" Drummond passed away November 16, 2021 at his San Marino Retirement Home in Westminster, CO, 8 days before his 92nd birthday. He was born on November 24, 1929, the oldest son of Mona and Sally Drummond. He grew up in Laramie, graduating from Laramie High in 1947. He briefly attended the University of Wyoming and worked at odd jobs until 1951 when he enlisted into military service. The Army trained Danny to run a locomotive. Danny married Elizabeth "Betty Anne" Bath in 1966. Together, they had one daughter. Betty Anne had four children from a previous marriage that completed their family. They moved to Rawlins, WY in 1969, where they lived until they became empty nesters, and Danny retired in 1992.They moved to Loveland, CO for the summers and wintered in Mesa, AZ. Danny enjoyed playing pool and swimming everyday while in Mesa. Back in Loveland, he went twice a day, everyday, for coffee with friends. He loved to read and always had a paperback book opened by his chair, never reading the same one twice.
His friends in Laramie all called him "Dink." He is remembered for his endless devotion to his family, his comical, quick-witted humor and his notorious driving skills.
