Daniel "Danny" Lee Hall , 40 Jul 16, 1979 - May 28, 2020 Daniel "Danny" Lee Hall, 40, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 28, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 16, 1979 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of Gina and Mark Mackenzie of Martinsburg, WV.
In addition to his parents, Danny is survived by his husband Scott Powell: mother and father in law, Robert and Dawn Powell; sister, Jennifer Stanley and husband, Mike of Martinsburg, WV; two brothers, Mark Mackenzie of Bunker Hill, WV and Nate Mackenzie and wife, Danielle of Martinsburg, WV; three nephews, Landon, Logan, and Kellen; one niece, Makayla; grandmothers, Phyllis Hall and Maggie Mason; his beloved dog, Jake and countless friends who were his chosen family.
Danny was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Mason.
Known for his contagious smile, laughter and positive attitude, Danny quickly became a friend to many. He graduated from Hedgesville High School in 1997 and went on to attend Shepherd University.
Danny began his career with State Farm in 2003. In November 2012, he opened his own agency, Dan Hall State Farm in Hagerstown, MD. Over the years, he and his dedicated team received several service and sales awards.
Danny was passionate about serving his community. He served on the Board of Directors for Breast Cancer Awareness - Cumberland Valley (BCA-CV) in Hagerstown, MD and held the office of Vice President. He was a member of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and served as a Chamber Ambassador for several years.
Due to the current restrictions surrounding Covid-19, services were held privately.
A celebration of Danny's life is being planned for a later date.
