Daniel M. Bruneau, 60, of Terryville, husband of Diane (Sok) Bruneau, died on Friday (October 16, 2020) at UConn John Dempsy Hospital, after a long battle with an inflammatory disease, AS. Daniel was born on November 10, 1959 in Newport, Vermont and was a son of the late Henry and Jeannine (Auger) Bruneau. Daniel was raised in Naugatuck and attended Naugatuck High School. He retired from Pratt and Whitney after 23 years. Daniel loved his 65 Chevy Cars. You would often hear him talking about cars with his brothers. He also loved old coins, reading, the History Channel and feeding the birds in the winter. Daniel adored his dogs, Jess and Peanut, but had a special place in his heart for his past dog, Barney. In addition to his beloved wife of 33 years, Daniel is survived by his two brothers: Bob Bruneau and his wife Teena of Bristol, Mike Bruneau and his wife Lori of Naugatuck; his sister: Denise Lenge of Farmington; his brother-in-law: Roger Sok of Torrington; his sister-in-law: Sharon Calkins and her husband Jack of Torrington; and many nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave, Bristol at noon. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, prior to the service between the hours of 11 AM and 12 AM. Funk Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bruneau family.
