It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel Berneche announce his sudden passing at the age of 75 on May 11, 2022 in Del Ray Beach, FL. Dan or better known as “Dr. Dan” grew up in Chicopee, MA and was born on May 22, 1946 to parents Leo and Marie Blanche (Auclair) Berneche. Dan graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa and continued to practice for over 50 years in Ware and Hampden, MA. He was passionate about alternative medicine and he truly loved what he did. Dan was happiest when he was by the sea, especially during the summertime on Cape Cod. He was known to bring others aboard one of his boats to go fishing or catch lobsters. He was an avid animal lover and he always had his records playing in the background, despite the poor quality of the sound. He leaves his daughters Jennifer Berneche-Stiles and her husband Michael Stiles, Jerrilyn Berneche, and Janelle Berneche and her partner Jason Mello; his two grandchildren Anna and Conor Stiles. He is survived by his former wife Janice Merrill; his brother Richard Berneche, and his sisters Diane Towsley and Janet Kline Plate and her husband Steven. and his many dear nieces and nephew, cousins, friends, patients and extended family members. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at St. Mary’s Church in Hampden, MA at 11AM. There will be a private burial for family following the service.
