Daniel (Dan) Donald Nobles, 75, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina moved to glory on January 10, 2022. Dan was born in Pensacola, FL, on December 17, 1946, to the late Rufus and Vida Nobles.
Dan graduated from Pensacola Technical High School in Pensacola, Florida and went on to serve proudly and honorably in the United States Marine Corps for four years earning the rank of Sergeant. After serving in the Marines, Dan went on to work for the Central Intelligence Agency in Virginia. In January of 1969, the confederate and the Yankee, Sheri Lynn Amidon, met and married on August 31, 1969 in Bath, NY where my hubby and I resided for 51 years. He was a Harley man and we had quite a ride for almost 52 years. Summers were spent in our early years at Hickory Hill Campground, then later at Keuka Lake on our houseboat the "Love Shack'. Dan enjoyed bowling where he had a 298 game. Golfing, however, was his second love, next to his wife of course, where he was a member of the Bath Country Club for over 30 years. Dan had a hole-in-one and spent every Thursday traveling in a golf league with friends. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 173 and a life member of B.P.O.E. 1547. Dan retired from Bath Gas and Electric with over 30 years of service as an electrical lineman and was their union representative for many years. Dan and I nested six homes over the years from Florida to New York and he could do just about anything and was very fastidious at any project he undertook. Anyone that knew my husband understood that he was a faithful man to his friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife Sheri and two beautiful daughters; Melinda Nobles Prisco (Kevin), Danielle Denise Major and grandchildren; Vanessa Renee Major, Toni Marie Major, Anthony Giovani Prisco, and Carmella Estelle Prisco along with his loving sister Dallas Nona Destin (Dudley, who predeceased him). The last few years we took the Harley ride of our life and moved to Myrtle Beach where family, green grass, and blue skies called us as we rode our last ride with an unwelcomed passenger called Alzheimer Disease. Faith in God has been a huge part of our lives and He orchestrated everything up to Dan's last breath. He is now in glory with family, friends, and his beloved sister Daisy Dimple Ard.
We will be having a Celebration of Life at the American Legion in Bath in July (date to be announced), and his final resting place will be at the Bath National Cemetery with military honors.
