Dan Roy Cannon, 90, passed away April 3, 2022 at his Benbrook home. Born August 6, 1931 in Jacksboro, the son of Litel McGowan and Emily Shraeder, his life was a true rags to riches story. He struggled the first 30 years of his life to eventually become a successful entrepreneur.
Dan worked hard all his life, especially when it came to his business, and his employees considered him tough but fair. He served in the Army National Guard, and was a car enthusiast, having owned and restored a number of classic American automobiles.
Dan loved his family and enjoyed spending time them.
His wife, Bettie Cannon, passed away in 2008.
He is survived by his sons: Mike and Danny Cannon; grandson and his family: Dusty Cannon and wife Shelby Cannon along with Dusty's children Savannah, Dakota, and Cruze, along with a host of friends and extended family.
Services will be Monday, April 11 at 10:00 at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, with interment at 3:00 in Molsbee Chapel Cemetery in Nocona.
