Mr. Callahan, 83, passed away Friday June 24, 2022, at Bay Medical Care Facility following a lingering illness. He was born in Flint on July 13, 1938, to the late Harry Callahan and Sylvia (Pettit) Ward. He married the former Olga Ellsworth in Flint, MI. They were married for 56 years and together they raised five children. She preceded him in death on June 10, 2014. He retired from General Motors, working at the Buick Plant in Flint. Dallas was a charter member of the Secord Lake Eagles 4121 and also a member of Citrus Park, FL. He enjoyed hunting; and being an avid bow hunter, fishing, singing, and playing guitar. Family and friends will remember him karaoking at the Eagles and at the nursing home. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dallas is survived by his children, Patrick Callahan, Beth (Brent) Larson, and Kimberly (Jeff) Gehrls, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, his siblings: Jill Goodemoot, Bill & Tina Callahan, Lisa Black and Bonnie McClung, sister in-law Suzanne Callahan and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lucinda Parker, his son Gregory Callahan, daughter-in-laws; Yvonne Callahan, Rae Ann Callahan, and Michelle Callahan, grandson Channing Callahan, brother David Callahan and a sister Janet Jacobs. A Celebration of Life will be Held at a later date with internment at Albert Township Cemetery Lewiston, Michigan.
