Dale Michael Slagel, 30, died unexpectedly June 21, 2021. His life was cut short but he will be remembered for his great qualities and for the special person he was. He was born on April 8, 1991 in Nampa, Idaho, the son of Michael S. Slagel, and Laura L. (Hoagland) Thomas.
He was a third-year electrician apprentice and wanted to finish school to become a journeyman.
Dale was known for his quick, funny wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He loved spending time with his family and many friends, who he was very close with. Being in Dale's presence was never dull, as he was always up for a good time but, not without being dressed stylish, well-groomed and smelling of the best cologne. He was always a curious soul and would often tell you about things he had read or about his theories of the universe. He was an optimist, who always rooted for the underdog. He loved scratch lottery tickets, always hoping to strike it rich. In his free time, he enjoyed a competitive game of Ping Pong (usually winning), watching basketball/ football, snowboarding, or just enjoying the sun, while always having his love of music blasting. Candy and cereal were his favorite foods. As a child he was an avid wrestler, football player and, the sweetest boy you ever met.
Dale was proceeded in death by his father, Mike and Grammy (Alma Carlyle). He is survived by his mother, Laura (Lance) Thomas, sister Kassee (Dustin) Tavares, brother Cole Slagel, Nephews Porter and Holden, Niece Mia, Grandfather Paul (Esther) Hoagland, many Uncles, Aunts, and cousins. And also, his beloved son-dog Arlo.
A private family service is being planned. And a Celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
