Dale Myron Flick, 89, of Lady Lake, Florida peacefully passed away on May 16, 2019. He was born on September 30, 1929 to Rollie and Leona Flick in Elmore, Ohio. Dale was a kind-hearted and devoted Christian, husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, photography, and spending time at the family cottage. He volunteered at The Villages Hospital and Also Delivered Food to Homebound. Dale grew up in Ottawa County, Ohio. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Huntington College in Indiana and received his master's degree in education administration from Ball State University in 1959. He spent his career as a teacher and school administrator. Initially in Indiana, he taught math, science, biology and history, in due course, becoming principal. He and his family moved to Northbrook, Illinois where he worked in various administrative capacities for the Niles School District. During retirement, he and his wife Ruth relocated their home to Lady Lake, Florida. Dale married Ruth Ellen Downs of Ohio on February 16, 1951 in Fremont, Ohio. Following Ruth's passing, Dale married Grace Johnson on March 5, 2016 at Community Methodist Church, Lady Lake, Florida.
He is survived by his wife Grace. His four children: Paul, Lady Lake, FL, Gary, Stevens Point, WI, Ryan (Jackie), Mundelein, IL, and Kara (David) Lee, Arlington, TN. Three grandchildren: Ian, Justin, and Tyler. Brother: James Flick, Fremont, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents Rollie and Leona Flick, wife Ruth, a brother Lauren and his wife Patricia, and sister-in-law Ernestine Flick (James). There will be a celebration of Dale's life for family and friends at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice Care, Community Methodist Church in Fruitland Park, Alzheimer's Association.
