Dale Fred Morris, age 84, of Galveston, Texas and Greentown, Pennsylvania died peacefully Thursday, August 4, 2022 at a nursing home facility near his home in Pennsylvania.
Born February 15, 1938 in Bethpage, New York, Dale was the son of the late Fred Wilson and May (Cochrane) Morris. He was a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather and the beloved husband of his wife of 50 years, Janet (Fredrick) Morris.
Prior to his retirement, Dale was a mechanical engineer and a construction coordinator mainly in New York City working for firms such as EBASCO, Syska and Hennessy and Lehrer McGovern Bovis. Projects he handled included everything from highly technical buildings such as AT&T Information Systems to Morgan Stanley headquarters to the restoration of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
Dale was very interested in vintage cars and boats. He also loved fixing and designing things and enjoyed the challenge of solving any DIY puzzle. He was always the first to lend a hand for anything including lending out his many tools. But undoubtedly Dale's most memorable quality was his wonderful wit and sense of humor.
