HEERES, DALE W.Norton ShoresDale W. Heeres, age 86, took God's hand unexpectedly, while surrounded by his family, and made his journey to Heaven on Friday April 26, 2024. He was born on March 23, 1938 in Muskegon to Walter & Celia Heeres. On December 20, 1975, Dale married the love of his life Suzette Heeres. Suzette survives him, along with their children Gabe (Tonya) Heeres and Andi (Joe) Bernethy; as well as his four previous children Kevin (Sharon) Heeres, Mark (Beth) Heeres, Jennifer (Fred) McWain, and David (Erika) Heeres. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, his sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law, as well as several nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Celia Heeres. Dale's faith in God and the love he had for his family, especially his wife of 50 years, was present in everything he did, every day of his life. Dale proudly served in the United States Air Force. Upon his return to Muskegon in 1966, he started his life as a family physician, providing care for his community for over 40 years. In recent years, Dale joined several choirs, Big Arts Community Chorus in Sanibel, Florida, St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers, Florida, as well as right here at St. Francis where he has glorified the Lord with song for many years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, May 10, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken Street, Norton Shores, MI 49441, with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers or to make contributions to Dale's memory, please consider Feeding America, a charity Dale loved to support and serve.
