Dale "Scott" Green, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 56 on Monday, September 23, 2024.
A dedicated employee of K.U.B., Scott was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his community. Scott found joy in the great outdoors, relishing camping and fishing adventures. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandkids, whom he adored as a proud Papaw. His warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter touched the lives of everyone he met. Scott will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Ann Green; and grandson, Jaxon Green.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lucille Green; sons, Austin Green (Felicia) and Jakob Wilson; daughter, Monica Humphrey; grandchildren, Eliana Green, Carter Green, and Sophia Sands; brother, Mark Green (Melissa); sister, Jackie Hawk; nieces, Amber Blair (Coy) and Nikki West (Kevin); and great-nephews, Colton, Landon, and Skyler.
The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Tuesday, October 1, 2024, with service to follow at 7PM in Atchley Funeral Home's Seymour Chapel with Mark Green officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Shady Baptist Cemetery for a 10AM graveside service and interment. Online condolences may be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com.
