Dale Allen Gage died peacefully in his sleep in Gladwin County, Michigan and was
taken home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 10th, 2021.
He was born in Garden City, MI in January of 1959 to Raymond T. Gage Sr. (formerly
Gazdecki) and JoAnn L. (Knoblock) Gage, who preceded him in death.
Dale will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters, Ray Jr (Alice) Gage, Clay
(Rose) Gage, Julie Gage (Mark Berndt), Michelle (Mark) Krull, stepmother Kathy Gage,
and numerous family and friends in Wayne and Gladwin County areas. He will be
greatly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews whom he treated as a brothers,
sisters or the children he never had for his own. Anyone who knew Dale was touched by his generosity. Dale's smile, laughter, enthusiasm for his work, and love of the outdoors was infectious. He was a lover of all of God's creatures that were good and kind, and even some who were not. His loyal 3Goldens and Labrador retrievers always kept a special place in his heart. Although he lived a less than average life span, Dale did not live an average life. He
somehow managed to always think outside of the box and color just a bit outside of the
lines. Dale laughed at himself and with others often, and at others only when they had
earned it. He learned what he wanted to learn, traveled where he wanted to travel and
fixed what he wanted to fix. Dale would (and often did) give you the shirt off his back,
even if he did not have a spare one handy for himself.
Dale would want us to be joyful that he led a very full adventurous life, and not sad that
he won't be around to surprise us anymore with a laugh, gift, or make us smile - until we
meet again in the here after.
A celebration of Dale's life will be scheduled for mid-summer 2021 on the lakeside
where his heart has always found Peace and Rest. Memorial Donations in the Memory of Dale can be made to Great Lakes Golden Retriever Rescue on line at greatlakesgoldens.org
