Cyrus Albert Rice, Jr

Cyrus Albert Rice, Jr., 88, of Munson, Florida, passed away on January 14, 2025.

Albert was born on March 8, 1936, in Gilchrist County, Florida to the late Cyrus Albert Rice, Sr. and Ida May (Holloway) Rice. He was a graduate of Bell High School and The University of Florida. He retired from the Santa Rosa County School Board after thirty years as a teacher and Director of Transportation.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ida Mae Nobles; and sister-in-law, Harriet Ginger Rice.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Elon (Hardy) Rice; two sons, Cyrus Albert (Bert) Rice, III, James Anthony (Robbin) Rice; one daughter, Mary Rebecca (Becky)(Philip) Nation; three grandchildren, Matthew (Tara) Rice, Andrew Nation, Rachel (Skylar) Jinright; and one brother, Joe Rice.

A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Pleasant Home Church Cemetery, 8500 Pleasant Home Church Road Holt, FL 32564, at 2:00 pm.
