Cynthia Kaye Dwyer-Seay, 53, of Fork Union, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was surrounded by her supportive loving husband and family. Cynthia peacefully entered eternal rest and joined other loved ones who had already made the journey.
She was born on November 4, 1969, in Culpeper to the late Richard Melvin Dwyer Sr. and the late Linda Gay Jenkins Dwyer. She was also preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of 21 years, Matthew Seay, and their children, Aubrie Lynn Seay and Owen Patrick Seay, all of Fork Union. Also survived by a brother, Richard Melvin Dwyer Jr., a sister, Tammy Atkins (Neal), both of Sperryville, and a brother, Todd Green (Kim) of Marshall; by her nieces and nephews, Brittany Gianoli (Guy), Ryan Atkins, Kathryn, Kellie, Ashley, and Christopher Madison, Morgan Clemmer (Ben) and Kayla Ferrell (Coy); her mother-in-law, Cynthia Manley Seay (Manuel), and her sister-in-law, Bridgette Madison (Michael).
Cynthia gave 15 years of loyal service at the Virginia Health Department covering multiple communities.
Cynthia will be remembered for her deep love of family, her strong faith in God, and her courageous spirit and determination during her lifetime of health challenges. When her doctors told her she had limitations she proved them wrong. She was a spitfire ball of energy and knew how to get things done.
She was dedicated and involved with all her children's events, and they can now take comfort in knowing she now guides them from heaven.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, May 12, at Lyle's Baptist Church (92 Lyle's Church Lane, Palmyra, Va. 22963) by Pastor Warren Tillman, with viewing one hour prior to the service, from 11 a.m. - 12 noon. Reception following the service.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, at the Sperryville Cemetery (3822 Sperryville Pike, Sperryville, Va. 22740).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity close to your heart.
