Curtiss Evan Scott

Curtiss Evan Scott, age 92, of Killeen, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. He was born to the late Chester and hazel Scott of Jackson, Tennessee. He attended Jackson High School and graduated in the year 1948. After graduation, he furthered his education by attending and graduating from Union University in 1952 and Southwestern Baptist Theological in 1958.

He married the love of his life, Doris Ann Holloway of Jackson Tennessee on August 21, 1955.

Curtiss was an active member in his community; He was a Professor of Accounting and Business Law at Union University (1965-1992). He was also employed as a Certified Public Accountant. He also held memberships in the Jackson Exchange Club, Jackson Bicentennial Club, and the Killeen Exchange Club. He was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church in Jackson, TN, First Baptist Church in Granbury, TX, and First Baptist Church in Killeen, TX.

Left to cherish his memories are his Son, Mark Scott (Nancy) of Killeen, TX; Sister, Kathlyn Lewis of Lexington, TN; Grandchildren, Lauren Scott Hood (Rob) of Killeen, TX; Matthew Scott of Mexia, TX; Great Granddaughter, Harper Hood; Niece, Sandra Wood (Jeff) of Lexington TN; Special Cousin, Sandra Crowley of Bradford, TX.

Memorial Services will be held for Curtiss Evan Scott on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church of Killeen. Visitation will be at 10:00AM.
