Curtis Alan Sexton of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 10, 2021 at the age of 72. He was born on October 30, 1948 to Kenneth Paul Sexton and Ethel Pauline (Reyburn) Sexton in Joplin, Missouri. Curtis grew up in Baxter Springs, Kansas where he graduated from Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1966. He received his bachelor's degree in education at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Curtis started working at Production Automation Corporation (P.A.C.) in 1972 as a manufacturing sales representative and later purchased and co-owned the company. He married Pamela Sue Means on June 5, 1971 in Baxter Springs, Kansas. Curtis enjoyed fishing, golf, traveling with family and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren. He was their biggest fan, attending every game and school event. Curtis was known for his generosity and servant heart. Whether he was helping a friend, neighbor, or family member with a household project or a financial need, Curtis was the one to count on. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. Curtis is survived by his wife, Pamela Sexton of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Holly Oliver and husband, Chad, and Cindy Philofsky and husband, David, all of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Jackson Oliver, Preston Oliver, Alyssa Philofsky, Luke Philofsky and Jacob Philofsky, all of McKinney, Texas; siblings, Mike Sexton of Miami, Oklahoma, Judi Butler of Joplin, Missouri, Stanley Sexton of Chicago, Illinois and Kent Sexton and wife, Cheri of Miami, Oklahoma; aunt, Barbara Spear of Lee's Summit, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Verna Wells of Joplin, Missouri and Carolyn Johnson of Baxter Springs, Kansas; brother-in-law, Russell Means of Nashville, Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Pauline Sexton. A remembrance gathering will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 at First Baptist Church, 1615 West Louisiana, McKinney, Texas 75069.
