Craig passed away unexpectedly November 21, 2020 at CHI Mercy Health in Valley City, ND at the age of 60 from a heart attack.

Craig Lane Jondahl was born February 4, 1960 in Aberdeen, SD to James and Marilyn (Eikanas) Jondahl. He was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Langford. Craig graduated from Langford High School in 1978 and then studied computers at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. In 1980, Craig began his 40-plus year career as a car salesman at Pioneer Ford (now Groton Ford).
On August 1, 1981 Craig was united in marriage with Lana Meyer. The couple initially made their home in Langford until 1992 when they moved to Groton. There they would raise their three sons together.
Craig joined the Masonic Lodge in 1981 and was a 33rd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite. He held many positions including Potentate of the Yelduz Shrine in 2009 and was honored to have the privilege of serving as a Hospital Board Member at the Shriners Hospitals for Children in the Twin Cities for the last five years of his life. Craig is a Past President of the Groton Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Craig's passions were helping others, telling stories, watching the Green Bay Packers, eating Norwegian foods, camping with family, riding motorcycles and hunting for "good deals." He loved to buy, sell and trade anything and everything. Throughout his life he met so many people and was able to leave lasting impressions on them. He seemed to know everyone and could make anyone smile. Craig was a loving man who will be missed dearly by his family, friends, customers, and the organizations he helped so much.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Lana of Groton; his three sons: Andrew (Samantha) of Watertown; Landon (Jessica) of Aberdeen; Carter of Groton; five grandsons: Lane, Levi, Lawson and Lexton of Watertown; Beckett of Aberdeen; his mother, Marilyn Jondahl; his sister, Lisa (James) Cutler; his brother, Kevin (Sharolyn) Jondahl; his father-in-law, Dexter Meyer; his sister-in-law, Shelley (Jim) Pratt; his brother-in-law, Bill (Jodi) Meyer and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
