Funeral service for Mr. Coy Bolton, 83, of Anniston, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. Stephen Anthony, Rev. Turk Holt and Roger Webb will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will directly follow the service at Clay County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bolton passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at RMC in Anniston. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil Hathcock Bolton; his parents, James and Eva Bolton; as well as five sisters and four brothers. He leaves behind his wife, June Pentecost Bolton; children, Gayla Bolton Holman (Bobby), Beth Bolton Holt (Turk) and Coy Anthony "Tony" Bolton (Kim); grandchildren, Kala Holt Hembree (Josh), Denise Holman Arrington (Walter), Luke Michael Holt, Danielle Bolton Bryant (Jonathan), Isac Creaseman Holt (Madelyn), Anna Elizabeth Bolton, and Peter James Holman; great grandchildren, Eva Hope Hembree, Joshua Brenton Hembree Jr, and Baby Arrington; sister, Kiki Smitherman (ML); plus, a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Bolton graduated from Bibb Graves High School. After graduating he served in the U.S. Army. After finishing trade school, he worked for Alabama Power for several years before starting Bolton Service Company in 1973, which continues to serve the area today. In 1992, Mr. Bolton and his first wife Sybil, had a vision to open a Christian Camp in Clay County, which continues to minister and reach people of all ages. He was a long-time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served in many capacities. Mr. Bolton loved the Lord and loved his family. Pallbearers will be Luke Holt, Isac Holt, Joshua Hembree, Peter Holman, Walter Arrington, Jonathan Bryant, Jarrett Webb, and Chris Randall. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Encouragers Sunday School Class from Hill Crest Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to honor Coy's legacy at Bolton Camp.
