Mrs. Melvin "Pete" Bonn nee Corrine "Renie" Anderegg of Fredericksburg passed away on Saturday, October 29th at the age of 89 years.
Corrine was born March 5,1933 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Dan and Bessie Anderegg. She was raised in Fredericksburg but spent much of her time at the family ranch in Doss, Texas. After graduating from Fredericksburg High School in 1950; she married Melvin Bonn, on November 24, 1951. They lived on the Bonn family ranch; where she was known to participate in "rounding up" cattle on horseback by Melvin's side. At times she could be seen plowing a field, but never close to the highway for fear of being recognized as a woman driving a tractor with a plow!
Corrine was a passionate mother, loving wife, and influential grandmother and great grandmother. Being a member of the 1949 Billiken basketball team as well as a state finalist in tennis, her love of sports was evident in her attendance at the childrens, grand childrens and great grand childrens sporting events. Her greatest joy was her family. Corrine was committed to her faith and raised her family with devotion and kindness. In later years, Melvin and her enjoyed trips not only across the United States, but to other countries as well, with their friends and the vivacious Pioneer Bank Travel Group.
She is survived by her two children, son, Carey Bonn and wife Rhonda and daughter, Tracy and husband Alan Laratta, sister Ruth Kott and sister in law, Mary Anderegg. She is also survived by five grandchildren:
