Cormella Dean Marcum, 83, of Brown County, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Our Hospice of South Central Indiana after a lengthy illness. She was born September 26, 1940, the daughter of James Lester Roberts and Emma Louise (Caffee) Roberts in Louisville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Michael Black officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Dean's final resting place will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Rockcastle County, Kentucky next to her husband Lee. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dean to the Brown County Health and Living Activities Fund.
Cormella Dean is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Jim) Rosenberry of Nashville; brother, Daniel (Rhonda) Wilson of Freetown; grandson, Jeffery Kelp; granddaughter, Megan Catron; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Jericho Kelp and several nieces and nephews.
Cormella Dean was preceded in death by husband, Billy Lee Marcum; father, James Lester Roberts; mother, Emma Louise (Caffee) Wilson Shultz; stepfather, Delbert E. Wilson and a brother Marvin Wilson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
