Corbet Doster, 88, of Pageland, SC passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024, at his home. He was born on July 4, 1936, to the late Fred Doster and Flossie Manus Doster. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Fred Doster, Jr. and Cecil Doster. He was a man of faith, a skilled craftsman, and an enthusiast of all things classic and old school. Corbet shared 68 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Betty Jean Sullivan Doster. Together, they raised a family that was the center of Corbet's world. His son, Mike (Beth) Doster of Lancaster, SC, and his daughter, Pam (Eddie) Rivers of Wingate, NC. The joy of Corbet's life was further multiplied by his grandchildren, Kevin (Morgan) Doster of Inman, SC, Jacob (Kinsey) Doster of Rock Hill, SC, Kimberly Rivers (Jared Stever) of Redmond, OR, and Katie Rivers (Brandon Falada) of Fuquay-Varina, NC. He took immense pride in each of their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them. His great-grandchildren, Charlie Doster, Kennedy Doster and Luke Doster, brought him immeasurable happiness and laughter. He is also survived by Jean Doster Haynes and nephew, Cecil Doster, Jr. Corbet's working life was spent behind the wheel of a truck, a job that suited his love for the open road and the sense of freedom it brought. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his faith. As a long-standing member of High Point Baptist Church, he lived a life that reflected his beliefs. His interests were as unique and special as he was. Corbet had a passion for classic cars and farm tractors. He could often be found visiting auctions, where he reveled in the thrill of the find. His love for reading allowed him to explore worlds beyond his own, and his fishing trips to the beach were times of quiet reflection and joy. He could fix almost anything. Private Arrangements as per family's request. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 6:00PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the home.
