Cora E. Crowley 94, of Ballston Lake, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the home of her youngest son and daughter-in-law in Ballston Lake, NY.
She was born on February 18, 1928 in Utica a daughter of the late Andreas and Elbez (Dirtadian) Eghigian. She graduated from Whitesboro Central Schools in 1946.
On June 12, 1954 at St. Peters Church in Rome, NY she was united in marriage to Harold J. Crowley, a blessed union of over 52 years filled with much love and devotion. Mr. Crowley passed away on February 6, 2007.
After raising her four children, through elementary school, she rejoined civil service as a Library Technician at the Rome Air Development Center retiring in 1990. She moved from Rome to Coburg Village Retirement Community in Rexford, NY in 2007 to be close to her son's family.
Cora was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park, NY, she was also an active member of the Rome Catholic School Parent Teacher association during her children's education.
Cora was a phenomenal cook, a big Perry Mason fan, and also enjoyed feeding the slot machines at the casinos.
She is survived by her four children, Michael Crowley of Boulder, CO., Carol (Julia) Condolora of Denver, CO., Mary Kay (Jeff) Miller of Hudson, IA, and John (Rebecca) Crowley of Ballston- Lake, NY. She leaves two beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn and John Patrick Crowley, her sister Sonia Alfano and many special nieces, nephews and friends all of whom will miss her greatly. She was a great role model, friend, and family matriarch. She was predeceased by her step-father, Melkas Essayian, her brother and sister-in-law, Morris Eghigian (Margaret Niebuhr), and a sister Isabel.
The family wishes to sincerely thank her daughter-in-law and buddy Becky for her tireless and outstanding care and compassion.
Funeral services will be on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Whitesboro where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Durant. Interment will be in Carr Cemetery in Marcy, NY. There are no public calling hours. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass. Arrangements are with the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. 40 main St. Whitesboro.
