It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Consuelo (Chelo) Marin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, has passed away on March 27 2022 due to natural causes at the age of 91.
Consuelo was born to Jesus and Maria Castaneda in Maxwell, California on April 15, 1930 and passed away in Santa Paula, California with her loving husband of 60 years, Fortunato (Sarco) Marin by her side.
Chelo was a woman of a warm heart, although she worked in miscellaneous jobs throughout her life, her first love was dedicated to taking care of others. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
She was proceeded in death by her brother Salvador Casta?eda and grandchildren, Guadalupe Balbosa and Jesus Balbosa.
She is survived by her husband Fortunato (Sarco) Marin, children, Francisco (Margarita) Lozano,Pedro (Teresa) Lozano. Evangelina Lozano and Javier (Martha) Marin; her siblings, Jesus (Rosa) Castaneda, Manuela (Nely) Castaneda and Jose (Chencha) Castaneda; she was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren!
She was a beautiful person inside and out and she will be deeply missed by us all.
A Rosary will begin at 9:30am on Friday, April 8, 2022 with a Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Paula. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard.
