Constance "Faye" Young, age 92, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Maplewood Health Care Center.
Faye was born in 1932 to Matthew and Susie (Frohn) Gorla where she grew up with her parents and sisters near Conrath, Wisconsin on a farm. In 1953 she married Allen Young at Ladysmith, Wisconsin. They then moved to Baraboo for five years where she worked for the Boreva Garment Factory until building their home in rural Lodi. Faye established a sewing business in her home specializing in sewing for weddings and baking wedding cakes.
Faye and Allen enjoyed snowmobiling for many years and in the summer months, loved having nieces and nephews from Minnesota and Wisconsin visit them for weeks at a time.
In 1976 Faye was baptized as a Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved sharing the Bible's comforting hope for the future with others. She was a member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Middleton, Wisconsin.
Faye is survived by three sisters, Winnie Gerthofer, Jeanette Ralston, and Gail Robaczewski. In addition to Allen her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta (George) Celske and June Biller; brothers-in-law, Bill Ralston and Kenny Podolak.
A graveside memorial will be held in the spring.
