Constance Anne Carr Link passed away peacefully in Williamsburg, Virginia on June 27, 2024 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom, and her cherished brother, Joseph Carr.
Connie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was raised, on December 17, 1930, and was very proud of her Philadelphia roots. She met Tom, her Prince Charming, at a tea dance at Villanova University in 1950 and they were married in 1956 and enjoyed a 61-year marriage until Tom's death in 2018.
Tom and Connie raised their family in Morristown, New Jersey, with a stint from 1970 to 1973 in Caracas, Venezuela. They relocated to Williamsburg, Virginia in 1996 after Tom's retirement and became active members of the community there while returning to their house at the Jersey Shore each summer.
Connie lived for her family and in later years nothing made her happier than gathering the family at their beach house in Mantoloking, which was truly her happy place. She loved flowers and was a prolific seamstress, talented decorator, and an excellent baker, producing cookies, pies, and cakes along with a full sit-down dinner each evening. Over the years, she and Tom enjoyed traveling to visit their children in California, Illinois, and London and Rome. Connie is survived by her four children, Elizabeth Dibble, Michael, Larry (Kristin), and Richard (Terry) Link. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, whom she adored: Kate Dibble Starke, Sarah and Caroline Dibble, and Montgomery, Mariah, Sophie, Connor, and Danica Link; as well as great-grandchildren Tommy and Collins Constance Starke.
Connie was much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A funeral mass will be held at St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Virginia on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
