PITTSFIELD - Constance Toolin Ingegni, 96, formerly of 39 Walchenbach Circle at Salisbury Estates passed away at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center on April 24, 2023 after a long illness. Prior to moving to Pittsfield 25 years ago, she had been a 52 year resident of West Stockbridge.
Born on June 20, 1926, daughter of Thomas Toolin and Clara Baldwin Toolin, she was educated in Great Barrington schools and graduated from Searles High School in 1944. Mrs. Ingegni was a communicant of St. Mark Church in Pittsfield and had been a long time communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Housatonic prior to moving to Salisbury Estates.
Connie worked diligently throughout her life and was involved with her church and community activities. In addition to being a homemaker and mother to two boys, she worked for many years at Bartini Insurance Agency. She spent the last decade of her career working as a retail sales person at Meagher's Dress Shop in Stockbridge. There she discovered her true calling in helping customers find the perfect outfit for every occasion. She prided herself at always being well dressed.
Mrs. Ingegni was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Albert A. Ingegni, Jr. (2015) who she married December 18th, 1944 at Corpus Christi Church in Housatonic. She was also predeceased by her son Thomas Toolin Ingegni.
Mrs. Ingegni is survived by her son Albert A. Ingegni, III and his wife Karen of Pittsfield, and her granddaughter Alyssa A. Lee and her husband Chester of West Sand Lake, New York.
The Ingegni family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center for the kind and compassionate care Mrs. Ingegni received.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services for Constance Ingegni will be held Thursday, May 11th at 11:00 A.M. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Mark's Church, 400 West Street, Pittsfield, celebrated by Rev. William Murphy. There will be no calling hours and burial will be at Saint Bridget Cemetery in Housatonic at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Ingegni may be made to Soldier On in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street in Pittsfield.
