Constance "Bahjay" Carol Cameron, 78 years old, of Fredericksburg, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024 in the comfort of her home and surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Portland, Oregon to Donald Andrew Cameron and Carol Lois Maxwell on Nov. 19, 1945.
Connie graduated from Sunset High School in Portland, Oregon in 1963. Upon her arrival to Fredericksburg, Connie worked as a waitress at the local Domino Parlor, where she made many lifelong friends. During this time, she also worked as a pet sitter and dog walker for nearly 25 years.
Connie recently retired from H-E-B after 31 years of service in the Deli department as a cheese specialist, which she poured her heart and soul into perfecting.
Connie was preceded in death by both her parents in 2007.
Survivors include her dearest family, Laura and Vernon Palmerin, Eric and Ben Rumbin and her loving pets.
There will not be a service or memorial at this time.
A celebration of life will be held late July, with more details to follow.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff at Kerrville Texas Oncology for not only the medical care, but the outpour of love and support, Hill Country Methodist Hospice Care, ValuMed Pharmacy, the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Jennifer Martinez, Susan Crowther, Verna Lee Cuellar, Rosie Palmerin, Heather Watson, and Aisha Knight.
