Conrad (Bill) Pinette 85 of Bristol, CT passed away on January 18, 2021. Born on March 21, 1935 in Fort Kent, Maine, Bill is the son of the late Harold and Frances (Brown, Roy) Pinette. Bill moved to Connecticut to pursue his dreams and in doing so met the love of his life, Jeannine. They were married for 62 years and had 7 children. Bill worked relentlessly to give his family the best life has to offer. His trade as a machinist led him to running his own machine shop until his retirement. Bill and Jeannine created many wonderful memories for their children including teaching all their kids to snow ski during the many ski trips they took as a family, to hauling their camper with a pile of bikes stacked on top to the Connecticut shorelines as well as many other destinations. Every summer the family traveled to his mother's camp on Eagle Lake in Maine where he taught his 7 children to water ski and fish. Once their children were grown, Bill became a sailor and enjoyed many years sailing with his beautiful bride. Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend he dedicated his life to providing for his family while giving them love and support. He will be missed deeply. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannine (Plourde), his 7 children: Rudy and his wife Suzanne of Bristol, Jackie and her husband Ronald of NC, Curtis Pinette of Bristol, Brenda and her husband Jesse of GA, Bruce and lifelong partner Shelley of Bristol, Valerie and her husband Bob of TN and Monica Pinette of Bristol; also 2 brothers, Allen Pinette and his wife Carmen and Philip Pinette; his 2 sisters Ann and her husband Francis Powers and Sandra Masse; 17 grandchildren: Ayne, Leah, Corey, Autumn, Nicole, Melissa, Jessica, Alisha, Harley, Shawna, Jeremy, Justin, Nicholas, Bruce II, Megan, Jason and Cassandra; 17 great grandchildren: Harper, Hayden, Jack, Emma, Alilliana, Aiden, Cailynn, Destin, Laila, Charlotte, Tyler, Madison, Kennedy, Erynn, Jason, James and Kevin; god daughter Jill and many nieces and nephews. Waiting at heaven's gates for Bill, along with his parents, were his father - and mother-in-law Elzear and Agnes (Bosse) Plourde, his brother Everett, his twin sisters Marlene Schwartz and Eileen Muir, his grandson Joshua Steven Jarry, niece Lori Frances Pinette, stepfather Lawrence Roy, sister-in-law Phyllis, 3 brother-in-laws Martin Schwartz Jr., David Muir and Jerry Masse. A Mass will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Forestville, CT on Monday January 25, 2021 at 10:00am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Luke O'Brien Foundation, 85 Chestnut Hill Road, Wilton, CT 06897 which Bill lovingly supported by cooking shrimp dinners as a fundraiser at the Knights of Columbus. The Foundation provides funds for the research of Cockayne Syndrome and for his charity supporting the children and their families suffering from this rare syndrome that affected his grandson, Josh. DuPont Funeral Home is helping with the arrangements.
