Conrad L. Magnusson (Connie), age 91, passed away February 3, 2025 at the All-American Assisted Living Facility in Kingston, NH after a period of declining health. He was born November 27, 1933 in Haverhill, MA, son of the late John J. Magnusson and Ruth (Stevens) Magnusson. In addition to his parents, Conrad was predeceased by his brother Theodore "Ted" Magnusson.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Magnusson, sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Mary Magnusson, Kevin and Lisa Magnusson, Bob and Kris Magnusson, son, Brian Magnusson; grandchildren, Erica Panton, Hannah Magnusson, Cori Magnusson, Dana Geraghty, Jedediah Magnusson, Grace Magnusson, Jake Doolittle; sister, Amy Magnusson and several nieces and nephews. Conrad was also blessed late in his life with three great grandchildren, Jackson Conrad, Ezra Magnus and James Joseph (JJ).
Conrad was born in Brentwood,NH. In 1945 his family moved to Kingston. He graduated from Sanborn Seminary in 1951 and UNH in 1953. He enlisted into the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. On September 18, 1954, he married the love of his life, Phyllis Evans from Kensington and they moved to Sausalito, CA while he completed his service to his country. They celebrated their 70th anniversary in September 2024.
Conrad worked at Western Electric/AT&T in North Andover, MA for 34 years and retired in 1990. He had also formed CL &TS Magnusson in the mid 1950s. In 1995, the business transitioned to Magnusson Farm, which still exists today.
Many residents remember Conrad from his years of bike riding around town, his neighborly mowing of fields, and his generosity and wit.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 11am at the First Congregational Church of Kingston, 6 Church St., Kingston, NH.
A private burial will occur at the Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston in the spring.
