Connie Sue Lippelt, 69, La Crosse, Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at 10:15 p.m. in Valparaiso Care & Rehabilitation Center, Valparaiso, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday July 9, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 301 N. Washington St., La Crosse, Indiana, with Rev. Joel Steven Zipay officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church, La Crosse, Indiana.
She was born Jan. 9, 1953, in La Porte, Indiana, to the late Leslie and Marie (Weber) Pick. On Sept. 14, 1974, in Wanatah, Indiana, she married John L. Lippelt, who survives in La Crosse, Indiana.
Also surviving are two sons, Ryan (Lyndi) Lippelt of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Michael (Robyn) Lippelt of Wanatah, Indiana; six grandchildren, Roman Lippelt, Rocco Lippelt, Zara Lippelt, Leo Lippelt, Ivan Lippelt and Miura Lippelt; sister, Linda Scarborough of La Crosse, Indiana; brother, Dennis (Diane) Pick of La Crosse, Indiana; along with her mother-in-law, Julia Lippelt of La Crosse, Indiana. She was preceded in death by father-in-law, Clyde "Bud" Lippelt; and brother-in-law, Raymond Scarborough.
Connie was a licensed cosmetologist having previously worked in that profession. She retired in 2016 as a secretary from the Wanatah Public School system. Connie was part of a group of ladies who belonged to a Bunco Club. She enjoyed gardening and the love of being with her grandchildren.
