Connie Rae Robinson Cordingley, 89, of Ashton, passed away November 17, 2022, of natural causes.
She was born November 17, 1933, in Ashton to Clement Ambrose and Della Mae Richards Robinson. She was raised and attended schools in Ashton. She graduated from Ashton High School in 1952.
After graduating from high school she attended Idaho State University in Pocatello where she was one of the first class to graduate from the nursing program. She returned to Ashton where she worked and served the community as a nurse for over 30 years.
She married DeLane Cordingley on January 23, 1957 in Ashton. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived and raised their family in Ashton.
Connie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings, including Relief Society president in the Ashton 4th Ward. She enjoyed serving in the Idaho Falls Temple for a number of years with DeLane. She loved to sing and sang in the Harmonettes for a number of years.
Connie loved traveling with her family, shopping, working in her yard and flower garden, and was an excellent bowler. Time spent with family at family reunions was one of her favorite things. She spent many hours tending and decorating graves at the cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Shane Cordingley and Kurt (Heather) Cordingley; son-in-law, John Herbst; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kay and Janet Cordingley; eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, DeLane; daughter, Shellie Herbst; siblings, Norma Schuldies, Dallas Robinson, Phyllis Crosby, and Wanda Cordingley; and a great-grandson, Corbyn Cordingley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, at the Ashton 4th Ward Chapel with Bishop Steven Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the church. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online to the family at www.baxterfh.com.
