Commander William A. Rhodes, USN Retired, passed away peacefully January 24, 2024 in Flagstaff, AZ where he resided for 40 years. After serving our country honorably for 30 years, he retired with his last tour of duty at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ, in 1978.
He married Renee (married for 61 years at her passing in 2012) and they had 4 children - Kim (GA), Cherilee (WA), Charlene (Niel Nielsen) (WA) and Kathy (Robert Mayorga) (AZ); whom he is survived by along with grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Gene (Sharon) Oliver, brother in law Terry Bear.
He was involved in A Bomb testing in the 1950's;had various tours overseas and the US including NAS Whidbey Island, WA. He was very well respected and admired earning many certifications and degrees.
