Colby Lawrence White, 80 years old died in Sedro Woolley on March 4th, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimers. He was born in Seattle to John G. White Jr. and Mary E. Egbert White. He was the oldest of three children. Colby earned his social work degree from Arizona State University. Later his interests were in collecting and trading in Native American and Western Art. He spent most summer camping in the New Mexico desert with his son's and later in the Oregon desert with his sons and grandsons. Colby was also a prolific poet, song writer and musician. Colby was a prominent member of the Hanuman fellowship at Mount Madonna in Watsonville, near Santa Cruz
California where he served the guru Baba Hari Das. He lived for many years in Soquel California, moving to Lopez Island, WA in 2018 to be cared for by his family.
He was a uniquely spiritual and gentle man and he used those attributes as a hospice volunteer. He is survived by his son and daughter in-law Colby C. White and Lorry White, his son Collin White, his grandsons and their wives Loren and Belinda White, John and Maria White and his grandchildren Matilda and Lucas White. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary White, his brother Gregory White and his sister Heather White.
