Clyde R. Wyer, 87, of Roseville, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Zanesville.
Clyde was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Burning Springs, W. Va., to the late Ross and Dora Mackey Wyer. Clyde retired from CSX Railroad. He was a life-long farmer who cherished his beautiful farm. Over the years, Clyde focused his farm operations on dairy, beef cattle and feed grain. Clyde enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren with their 4-H and FFA livestock projects. He enjoyed pulling trucks and hunting. He especially enjoyed singing "The Bullfrog" song to his family.
Clyde is survived by his son, Mark (Theresa) Wyer of East Fultonham; his two daughters, Rhonda (Lonnie) Savage of New Lexington, and Amy (Justin) Embrey of Zanesville; daughter-in-law, Libbie Wyer of Junction City; and daughter, Doralea (Allen) Metzger of Roseville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Matt (Mandy Lacy) Wyer, Hope (Brad) Silver, Mitchell (Krista) Wyer, Brandon Wyer, Steven Savage, Kyle Savage, Shawn Savage, Emma Embrey, Ella Embrey, Brody Embrey, Michael (Sarah) Metzger, and David Metzger. He is survived by his great-grandchildren, Cam Wyer, Bailey and Cole Silver, Hudson and Holt Wyer, Mia, Madison, and Maelynn Metzger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rick Wyer, several brothers, and sisters.
Per Clyde's wishes, no calling hours will be observed. A caring cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rick Wyer Memorial Youth Fund, Alzheimer's Association, or Lifeline of Ohio.
