Clyde Eugene Harrison, 85, of Fruitvale, TX passed away August 6, 2021, in a Tyler hospital. He was born December 16, 1935, in Gunter, TX to Henry and Alma Harrison. He was a graduate of Gunter High School and a member of the Church of Christ. Clyde was retired from Sherwin-Williams in Garland, TX and Morton Salt in Grand Saline, TX. After retirement, Clyde was content raising his cattle and growing a big garden which, he shared with his many friends and neighbors. Clyde looked forward to his annual vacations with his family and the hunting and deep-sea fishing trips with his Sherwin-Williams friends.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: H.D. Harrison, Billy Harrison, and Tom Harrison and three sisters: Doris Pelt, Mary Bourque and Rita Boren.
Clyde was survived by his wife of 48 years, Bobbye, of Fruitvale, TX, three daughters: Kay Moseley and husband Jerry of Gunter, TX, Patty Streetman of Gunter, TX and Karla Edmund of Denver, Colorado, and his son Wesley Harrison of Fruitvale, TX, also twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Clyde was survived by two brothers: Charlie Harrison of Gunter, TX and Bob Harrison of Gunter, TX, and his sister Lula Morris of Sherman, TX and numerous other relatives.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Creagleville Cemetery, with Kyle White officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
