Faye was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Prior to her move to Fredericksburg, TX in 2008, she was an active member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Sweetwater, TX. Following her move to Fredericksburg, she attended Greater Life Christian Center which is now Destiny Church.
Faye was born in Blackwell, Texas to Leonard and Odessa "Dessie" Oden on September 28, 1926. Her childhood years were spent in Blackwell, TX on her grandfather's ranch. Faye grew up with ten siblings, six brothers and four sisters. She married Charles Dudley Wilson on April 20, 1945, in Roscoe, TX. They spent 70 wonderful years together. Faye was a God-fearing, Bible-believing Christian. God was first in her life, followed by her family and friends. Faye enjoyed reading the Bible and listening to Gospel Music. She was a devoted wife and mother of two sons. During WWII, Faye developed and censored war photos for servicemen. Following the war, she owned and operated a beauty salon in Sweetwater, TX. Faye also worked alongside her husband Dudley in his television sales and repair business. She had a green thumb and loved working in her garden, canning, quilting, painting, and other hobbies. She also loved playing the domino game "chicken foot." Faye was an exceptional example to everyone she met. She was a "fisher of men" and a staunch defender of the Gospel of Christ. Faye was a light in a dark world. She was a blessing to all who knew her.
II Timothy 4:7-8 best summarizes Faye's life.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

Romans 8:35, 37-39: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
