Clinton Chase Jr., known by his friends and family as Junior, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2021. He was surrounded by his wife Betty, two daughters Cheryl and Christine and his faithful companion Lily (Chihuahua).
Junior was a devoted husband and father. He and Betty (Paquette) were married for over 58 years. They have two daughters, Cheryl Keeler who is married to Edward Keeler and have 3 sons, Steven, Matthew, and Gregory. His younger daughter, Christine Graham is married to Donald Graham and have 2 sons John and Chase. Chase is Junior's 4th grandson and was named to carry on the family name.
Junior was born on August 20, 1936 to Clinton Chase Sr. and Elizabeth (Westcott) Chase. He lived in his hometown of Enfield Center for 77 years before moving to Bedford, NH to be near his daughters and grandsons.
Born on the Bog Road in Enfield Center, Junior moved only a few times throughout his life, but always within the Enfield Center area until he moved to Bedford. Junior had 4 siblings. Rachel (Betty) and David preceded Junior in Death. He is survived by Shirley Ayers and Richard (Dick) Chase.
Junior was an auto mechanic with his father for a short time until he married Betty. He then held a few jobs including the Tannery, building sewers with Bucky Tupper, and the woolen mills before going to work with his brother Dick at Dick's Citgo. The garage was sold to Butch Dixon and became Upper Valley Automotive and Auto Body. Junior stayed on working with Butch until his retirement.
Throughout his life, Junior loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed many years supporting his brother Dick who did stock car racing in Claremont. He and Betty loved camping. They camped for many years with a pop up camper before buying a driving RV. They camped with friends early on and in the later years with their daughters.
Junior loved spending time with his daughters. He was at one or the other's house every weekend. He had a love for life, so there will be a celebration of life party with friends, family and those who knew Junior are all welcome. No funeral services will be held. Plans for the celebration of life will be provided at a later date.
The arrangements are in the care of the Compassionate Cremation Services of NH, 32 Maple St., Wilton, NH. To view an online obituary or leave a condolence, please visit our website www.compnewhampshire.com.
