Clifton (Cliffy) Gene Reed, 59 of Bronte, passed into the loving arms of his Savior on Sunday July 4, 2021. Cliffy was born on February 15, 1962 to Clifton and Bonnie Barefoot Reed in San Angelo, Texas. Not one for school, Cliffy started working at an early age. He was driving a truck, working cattle, or buying cattle. He was a cow man from day one. Buying and selling cattle was his gift. His phone was constantly ringing and he was walkin' and talkin'! Always the life of the party, coming early and staying late, Cliffy always ran into someone he knew. Cliffy married the love of his life Deeana Arrott on November 1, 1980 in Ballinger Texas. They were blessed with 40 years of marriage. God brought them through many hills and valleys, and oh my, what a ride! Their greatest blessings were the three girls and five grandchildren, four boys and a girl. Those grandbabies were his whole world, they called him Grampy. He loved those boys and his baby girl. Grampy could always be found with his sweet little ones feeding cows, riding horses, watching cartoons, or sitting on the back porch eating popsicles. Each one loved their Grampy to no ends. Cliffy leaves behind his wife Deeana of Bronte and daughters Natasha Frerich (Blake) of Miles, Natalee Churchill (Tell) of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, and Nicole Byler (Russell) of Bronte. He also leaves five grandchildren, Ross Byler (9), Gentry Churchill (7), Hayes Frerich (4), Emma Churchill (1), and Jarrott Byler (9 mos). Parents Clifton and Bonnie Reed and sister Monya Waldrop (Jeff) all of San Angelo. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lots of friends. He was preceeded in death by paternal grandparents Harry and Clemis Reed, maternal grandparents MJ and Bonnie Barefoot, mother and father in law JB and Martha Arrott. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 2 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the West Texas Rehab Center or a charity of your choice in his honor.
