Hugh Clifford Easley, 88, departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. He was born March 15, 1934, to William and Velma Garrison Easley. He was married to the love of his life, Mary Coysue "Sue" Easley, for 62 years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for over 40 years and was an ordained deacon. He was an honorary member of Old Blue Hunting Club, an avid fisherman, enjoyed working in the garden, and was "Mr. Fix It" with anything that had a motor. His absence will forever sadden all of his family and friends, and all their memories will be greatly cherished.
Services for Clifford will be Friday, March 3, at 2:00p.m. at United Funeral Service with Bro. Marty Merritt, Bro. Terry Floyd and Bro. Byron Tate officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00p.m. until the start of the service. Pallbearers will be Ethan Tate, Josh Richardson, Andy Dillard, Marty Jarvis, Melvin Williams, and Karl Easley, honorary pallbearers; David Easley, Scotty Smith, Gerald Chunn, Jimmy Tate, and Garry Richardson.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, two special nieces and caretakers, Gayle Tate (Jimmy) and Lesia Richardson (Garry) a special Godson, Tim Dillard that considered him as a great mentor, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, three sisters-in-law, Loretta Easley, Shelby Easley, and Barbara Grubbs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters; Macie Easley Grant, Velma Louise Easley McCucheon, Inez Easley Cook, and Lois Easley Wood, and seven brothers; Norman Easley, Curtis Easley, Clyde Easley, Billy Easley, Herman Easley, Earl Easley, and Paul Easley.
