Dateline Crystal, Indiana. Cleo A. Hall, age 93, of Crystal, Indiana, passed away at 4:54 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020, at home surrounded by family. Cleo was born in Hillham, Indiana, on October 2, 1927, to John and Ora Etta (Archer) Hall. He married Lillian Gertrude Wininger on June 14, 1952. She preceded him in death on September 20, 2009. Cleo was a medic on the army hospital ship, "USS Hope" in the Pacific. Cleo was a school bus driver, farmer, construction worker, and a maintenance man for Medco Centers. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are two daughters; Janet L. (Ivan) Smith, Dubois, IN, Regina (Dave) Thomas, Georgetown, IN, two sons; Larry (Clara) Hall, Dubois, IN, John (Rose Ann) Hall, Dubois, IN, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three sisters; Clarence Marie Elkins, Marian Ragains, Martha Hall, companion, Zola Gray and his beloved puppy, Prissy. Preceding him in death besides his wife are two granddaughters, Jolene Hall and Jill Hall Ernst. A private family service for Cleo A. Hall will be held at the Becher Kluesner North Chapel with burial to follow in Cuzco Cemetery in Cuzco, Indiana. The VFW Post #673 will perform military graveside rites. Pastor Jack Wilson will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. Masks and social distancing will be required. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to any favorite Veterans organizations.
